7 June 2019Kerb and footpath restoration is a key focus in the precinct with overnight works required to minimise disruption to traffic and to maintain safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

Zone 29 saw the progression of overhead catenary pole foundations and pile caps. Offset stormwater pits have been installed to make way for the eastern overhead catenary pole piles and kerb restoration. Kerb and footpath works progressed between Doncaster Avenue and High Street.
Work is progressing on the UNSW Anzac Parade stop in zone 30 north with the structural steel now installed. Work to install the combined services route pits north of the stop, and also kerb restoration, is progressing. Overhead catenary pole foundations and pile cap works are also underway. The base layer for the footpath from the Tyree Building to Baker Street was poured and the pits have been cleaned in preparation for underground cable installation.
Work on the Kingsford stop is progressing with the structural steel and kerb stops installed. Decommissioning of the current overhead network facilitated the remaining stormwater works.
The Nine Ways intersection in zone 31 is now in end-state traffic arrangement so take care when driving in the area. Work on the Juniors Kingsford terminus is also progressing with the installation of structural steel.
