Surry Hills taking shape

1 May 2019

Finishing works, such as road, kerb and footpath restoration work, are largely complete in Surry Hills.

The first of four pocket parks for Surry Hills is taking shape on Holt Street where mobile parklets are creating a space for the community to enjoy. Crews are also making progress on the Waterloo Street pocket park.

Footpath restoration works are progressing along Devonshire Street in zones 17 and 18.

Significant civil construction works have been completed at the Bourke Street and Crown Street intersection.

Work is progressing on South Dowling Street to finish southbound and northbound safety barriers and to complete landscaping and a retaining wall next to the Langton Centre.

The overhead wires in the precinct are also scheduled to be energised in May.
