September in the CBD4 October 2019
Trams are a common sight in the CBD with day and night testing now underway on week days and weekends between Circular Quay and Randwick via Town Hall, Central Chalmers Street, and Moore Park. Passenger services are not far away so expect to see plenty of trams being put through their paces along the alignment. With trams now out and about at any time, people are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and play it safe around light rail.
Finishing works, including tree pit protection and tree planting, are now underway. Localised paving is also being finalised.
Utility works at the Hunter Street and Margaret Street intersection are progressing, while road asphalting will be laid in the coming weeks.
Non potable water works are also moving ahead at the Park Street and Druitt Street intersection. Stormwater works on Bathurst Street will be completed in October.
Driveway asphalting between Goulburn Street and Hay Street is almost finished.
Pedestrian crossing works, bike lane construction and paving works along Eddy Avenue are also nearing completion.
Works at the Barlow Street intersection will be completed in October.
