Moore Park Update

2 September 2019

Trams are passing through Moore Park day and night on weekdays and weekends with tram testing and driver training expanding between Randwick Terminus and Central Chalmers Street stop in August.

The Anzac Parade and Alison Road intersection has been restored with asphalt and median works completed. In the coming weeks the team will focus on completing traffic signals. Work has also been completed on installing the final overhead wire which connects the Kingsford route with the Randwick route at the intersection. Work will also progress to reinstate Tay Reserve with a focus on footpaths and drainage.

Paths and ramps along the shared path to Alison Road have opened, improving the access between Centennial Park and Doncaster Avenue.

The pedestrian area at Australian Turf Club’s Gate 1 has opened and traffic is now in the end state arrangement.

State Transit Authority (Sydney Buses) continues to train bus drivers along the shared tram and busway corridor in preparation for bus services to integrate with the tram. Bus stop shelters, and footpath reinstatement are progressing in the area.
