Anzac Parade construction update6 March 2018
A new traffic arrangement is now in place in Zone 28, on Anzac Parade between Dacey and Todman Avenues.
Lane changes will be in place to make way for the installation of the remaining track in the area.
With over 4.5km of track already in place on Anzac Parade, crews are reaching completion of all track work between Anzac Parade and Nine Ways, which will be a great achievement for the project.
With track already complete in Zone 29, Anzac Parade between Todman Avenue and High Street, work is continuing to underground electrical and communications networks.
This work will allow the replacement of the old overhead wire poles with new smart poles for Anzac Parade. The new poles will carry the overhead wiring for the light rail.
Stormwater work will also be carried out, as well as kerb widening and restoration work.
A new worksite has been established on the eastern side of Anzac Parade, between High Street and 50m north of Day Avenue. This will allow the construction of the final pavement in this area.
