VIDEO: Testing reaches intriguing new phase

Light rail testing has reached an intriguing new phase.

Last week, engineers conducted a series of speed and load tests - loading our new ALSTOM tram with 24 tonnes of sandbags to simulate a full load of passengers, and clocking speeds of up to 70km/h.

Olivier Pilloud, Alstom's Testing and Commissioning Manager, gave us an insight into how testing is carried out.
