Moore Park construction update

1 May 2017

Anzac Parade was successfully returned to its original alignment in Moore Park on 8 April, after eight months of construction on the new light rail tunnel under the roadway. In this section, the light rail tunnel was built from the top down. The tunnel walls and roof were installed before the roadway was reinstated, minimising disruption to traffic in the area.

Over the coming weeks night work will take place to improve the road surface, before the speed limit is returned to 70 km/hour. Excavation of the tunnel under the roadway will start next month.

Work on the Eastern Distributor Bridge is currently underway and will continue during May. Work includes barrier placement, retaining wall removal, line marking changes, utility work on signals and lighting, vegetation work, and road pavement, kerb, guard rail and asphalting work.
