Alison, Anzac and Dacey gear up for construction

15 January 2018

The intersection of Anzac Parade, Alison Road and Dacey Avenue has undergone some changes over the weekend with the establishment of the construction compound for the installation of light rail tracks along Anzac Parade.

“The installation of the construction compound on Anzac Parade, between Robertson Road and the Alison Road / Dacey Avenue intersection, is an important step towards connecting the light rail from Moore Park into Kingsford,” Acting Coordinator General Steve Issa said.

Work will now progress to the southern side of the intersection, then move to the northern side over a number of weekends in coming months.

“While there has initially been no change to the number of lanes on Anzac Parade, the configuration of the intersection will change at times so we are urging all motorists and pedestrians to be aware of the upcoming changes and to plan their journey ahead,” Mr Issa said.

“As work on the intersection progresses over the coming weeks, it will be a an adjustment for motorists, which is why we need everyone to take extra care around the changed road conditions, allow extra travel time and follow signage and directions from traffic controllers.”
